ARDEN THEATRE

1pm Peeking in the Portrait (physical theatre, 14+)

The camera flashes. We are exposed. Four people find themselves alone with a camera – what will happen? With playful physicality and subtle ensemble encounters, GOLKK explores what it means to exist in a world where we are simultaneously witnesses and the witnessed, offering you an experience which is not only live but ALIVE.

7pm Coercive (theatre, 16+)

Based on true events. A maritime tragedy becomes the catalyst for confusion when former Navy man Joseph reveals forty years of pain in his mind. A mind under the grips of early onset Alzheimer’s, which no longer comprehends the present.

9pm Trans Pennine (theatre, 14+)

‘Trans Pennine’ is a funny, fast-paced, and emotional play about family disagreements, gender-identity, and caravan holidays. Dad is angry, Ben is Amy, and Mum… is in the margarine tub.

THE VAULTS

7pm Adam Morrison Jones (comedy, 16+)

Adam Morrison Jones is a man with a lot of stuff on his mind. Join him as he talks about all the hot topics: ghosts, birthdays, and superheroes. A show for all you 80s and 90s kids.

9pm 101 Comedy Club (comedy, 18+)

“Funny. Fast. Free” **** (ThreeWeeks).
Each night sees a different bunch of experienced comics performing. 3pm Jason Simmons: I Can Make You Feel Good (hypnotism/mentalism/magic, family)

Have you ever wondered how powerful the human mind is? Join hypnotist, mentalist and magician Jason Simmons as he takes you on a journey into your mind, using a mixture of psychology, suggestion, misdirection and hypnosis. Jason will bamboozle you in amazing and delightful ways with his sleight of hand, performing hilarious routines that will intrigue and inspire.

7pm False Teeth, Fake Fur, True Love (theatre, 18+)

9pm Died Blondes (theatre, 18+)

Marilyn Monroe. Ruth Ellis. Infamous women. Famous last words, reimagined. What secrets did Marilyn whisper down the phone to Joe DiMaggio? How did Ruth Ellis justify her crime to the man she shot, David Blakely? ‘Fascinating theatre’ – Nevertheless Productions, Frome.

THE LIMES

7pm Different Class Comedy (comedy, 18+)

One show, featuring 4 acts, all from different backgrounds. Expect jokes, stories and bservations on a range of subjects. From relationships, dating and gender roles to class, religion and politics. A melting pot of funny stuff from Ravi Holy, Tim Powell, Wilson & Simon Baker.

9pm Freedom of Expresso (comedy, 18+)

Norman (aka Dapper Rapper) presents this show about Fake News and Free Speech. Norman is the alter ego of comedy writer Nelson David who wrote jokes for Spitting Image, Big Breakfast, Rory Bremner, Zoe Ball, Bob Monkhouse and many more. “Amazing” – Time and Leisure.
