ARDEN THEATRE

1pm Peeking in the Portrait (physical theatre, 14+)

The camera flashes. We are exposed. Four people find themselves alone with a camera – what will happen? With playful physicality and subtle ensemble encounters, GOLKK explores what it means to exist in a world where we are simultaneously witnesses and the witnessed, offering you an experience which is not only live but ALIVE.

3pm Baby Plus Two (dance, 14+)

“There is no more sombre enemy of good art than the pram in the hall” said some bloke who was clearly no good at multitasking. This solo is our rebuttal. Pram firmly in the hallway, Baby Plus Two brings early parenthood to life with dance, spoken word, video and original music.

5pm Caspar Thomas: More Magic & Mentalism (magic, 12+)

Stunning, skilful magic from Caspar Thomas. Show premiered at the Hollywood Fringe 2018. ‘Caspar’s sleight of hand and mentalism is of a standard rarely seen or even attempted by the current generation of magicians. Phenomenal!’ (Jerry Sadowitz).

7pm Paversham (improv, 18+)

Plus Support Improv present ‘Paversham’, an entirely improvised comedy created with YOUR suggestions, and set in an entirely fictional town that may turn out to be entirely similar to the one you’re in! Expect mayhem, games, deep dark secrets, laughs, and maybe…..hops?!

9pm Lady Bracknell’s Confinement (theatre, 16+)

The grotesque, hilarious, uncensored revelations of Oscar Wilde’s pulverising snob. One man. Fifty minutes. 8pm, 8:30pm, 9pm Inexplicable: the close-up magic of Guy Wade (magic, 14+)

Magic is always best when experienced live and close up. Join Magic Circle magician Guy Wade for elegant, jaw-dropping and mind-blowing magic just inches from where you sit. Audience numbers are limited to eight per 30-minute show.

1pm Old Movies Saved My Life (theatre, 14+)

Where does a Lancashire lass learn about life, love, fashion? Old movies! If you love those black and white classics, join Mel for an affectionate look at the films that taught her everything a girl should know.

3pm Jason Simmons: I Can Make You Feel Good (magic/hypnotism/mentalism, family)

‘Furiously fabulous females’ mine pasts more chequered than Donna’s trousers. Anecdotes, poetry and prose strip wolves of sheep’s clothing and prove old dogs can turn new tricks. ‘Imaginative…full of wit…profound’- Isle of Wight Literary Festival. ‘Bloody good laugh.’ – Ventnor Fringe.

7pm Bodily (comedy, 18+)

Ever wondered how to get the most out of that capsized gazebo that is your body? Ian Lane takes you on an illustrated tour of all the hidden features, cheat codes and Easter Eggs within your body in this fusion of stand-up comedy and live body art. “inventive, cliché-phobic comedy that makes a strong impression” (Chortle)

9pm Gym Pass (improv, 18+)

One show, featuring 4 acts, all from different backgrounds. Expect jokes, stories and observations on a range of subjects. From relationships, dating and gender roles to class, religion and politics. A melting pot of funny stuff from Ravi Holy, Tim Powell, Wilson & Simon Baker.
