An exploration of what it means to be human through the medium of spoken word. Jess was a competitive slam poet for years before developing this debut poetry show of all her most awarded work.

Truly amazing and moving performance from Jess, she captured so much emotion in every movement and every word.
The Human Race, my first taste of spoken word poetry and what a fantastic experience. Raw, bold and emotional, I was taken on a ride into darkness and out the other side. I feel honoured to have experienced this beautiful and articulate work by a passionate artist. The performance really brought the work to life. I’m very much looking forward to her next collection!
A superb performance by Jess, many of today’s issues were delivered with passion, emotion and defiance. A wonderful collection of poetry that was heartfelt and compassionate and was delivered in such a way as to draw the listener into the life being described. Amazing work Jess!!
Jess has a wonderful knack of being both so human and comfortable in front of an audience throughout introductions and between poems that you instantly feel a connection with her. The raw and passionate side that comes out in the delivery of her works is indisputably infectious, and you find yourself feeling every word alongside her. The Human Race is a brilliant analysis of modern life, delivered with a little side of tongue-in-cheek humour and not one moment is sugar coated. I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to revisit this collection and I look forward to seeing what else is in store.
A brilliant show filled with emotion, with a poet who makes you feel their pain, pleasure, and the depth of their stories. Would highly recommend for anyone who loves shows that make you feel. Looking forward to the next collection already!
Work torn from your soul Jess, delivered with energy and passion. As in- your-face as it can be. Remarkable performance.
Your voice must be heard.
Looking forward to Gold.
Well done for your raw emotion and courage to share it.
